Installation & design

We're more than happy to work with you and your ideas to arrive at an elegant and practical design that matches your budget. We are not however trained interior designers, so please bear this in mind.

If you already have a company to install your stone, or are thinking of taking on the job yourself, we can simply provide you with your stone, adhesives and sealant. We do, however, recommend that you leave installation up to our qualified tradesmen. We have many years' experience of working with natural stone.

Adhesive
Cement based flexible adhesives are recommend for natural stone installation. Light coloured stones require fixing with a white adhesive to prevent discolouration should the adhesive react with the minerals within the stone.

Grouts
Cement based grouts are most appropriate for filling joints and are suitable for joints from 2mm to 20mm wide. A flexible grout is essential when tiling on wooden substraights or where under floor heating has been installed. All stones must be sealed or impregnated prior to grouting as some honed and tumbled tiles will absorb the colour pigmentation from coloured grouts.
