Jerusalem stone is quarried in the eastern Mediterranean. It’s the same stone that has been used in the city of Jerusalem for generations for construction and facing buildings. It is similar in appearance to limestone, but is incredibly durable and far less porous. Some people even compare it to granite! It comes in the same sandy tones of limestone, with beautiful shades of beige and gold. We think it is fantastic for kitchen floors and other areas that have high amounts of traffic. As with any limestone, we always recommend sealing to protect the beautiful finish.
