Limestone

Limestone is formed from the remains of tiny marine organisms. Look carefully and you will see the patterns of tiny seashells and ancient coral in the stone.

Pure limestone is almost white, but the rock takes on colour specific to the area it was mined. Different colour minerals give the stone soft, warm shades that create a gentle and relaxing atmosphere.

Limestone is perfect for floors in wet areas, such as the bathroom and shower, as it provides such a sure footing. Harder limestones can be used to create beautiful, durable worktops in the same way that granite can. Sealing will prevent staining.
