The oldest, strongest and hardest stone available, so tough it’s used to make curling stones.  Ideal for use as kitchen worktops. Becoming increasingly popular on floors and walls too. It can be quite slippery, so if you're thinking of granite for wet areas, choose a flamed or brushed finish.
